Yea mann... Me and Angie are heading back to the coast in December for David Mann 2010. Missed it last year. I'm stoked for this show! No beach swimming this time, we'll have to think of something else cool to do after the show. Santa Monica skate park and an amusement park? Very possible.

Dark Day

My uncle Snookie took the big ride into the sky today. We're all sad and relived that did not have to suffer that long. Three months of cancer hit him hard an fast. He's was a cool laid back uncle that I will greatly miss.

This is one the last pics of him. Even with cancer eating away at him he still looks like a bad ass!

back from the coast

Man what a great time at the coast. This was Angie's first road trip out of AZ and I wasn't sure how she'd handle the road, but my girl rules! She loved it the whole way. We got a bit of late start Friday. The starter in my truck died and I had to swap that out before we could split. We rolled into Long Beach around 1am. Saturday was all bout the born free show. What an amazing show! So many killer old bikes and cool people.

After the show we hit the beach for about an hour. Angie's first time seeing the ocean and she flipped out when she saw it. Ran right in the water and was digging it. Sunday we spent all day at the beach swimming and making sand castles.

Monday we headed for home and cruised up to Apple Valley to see my uncle Snookie for a few hours before heading back. It was nice to see him having a good day. Cancer sucks. The drive from Apple Valley back to the I-10 is a beautiful desert drive with great winding roads. I have to go back on the bike for that drive.

Was planing on riding to the born free show but the bike is down and will not be ready to go. This is still be gonna be a great trip. I'm taking my my 4 year old on her first road trip. She loves bikes and has never seen the beach. She's gonna be so stoked on it all!

My uncle Snookie who lives I'm apple valley has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and ain't doing to good. so we'll be heading to his house to spend some time with him before we go home. Snookie is a long time bike rider and seeing him down like this really sucks.

the road less traveled

It's important to get out there on the road. important for your mind and well being. I realized this again after a weekend of riding with my cousin Ted. He always manages to take me somewhere I've never been, down roads I didn't even know existed. We took a five hour ride around southwest AZ.

It really cleans the cobwebs out of your mind just getting out to nature like that and ripping through the wind. Total freedom on the road! I really have to make a point of doing this more often. Don't have any pics. I guess stopping to capture the moment wasn't really on my mind. And thinking about it now probably would have ruined the moment since i was too busy living it. The images are locked in my head. Get out there ride!
